We are the Lemon Tree Collective, a grassroots organization founded by Helen Fares to support people from Palestine and Syria.

After doing multiple successful evacuations in the beginning of the year, we are now working on four projects in Egypt, South and Northern Gaza and a village in western Syria that you can support with your donation.

In Gaza we buy weekly food boxes containing rice, flour, oil, sometimes fruit and vegetables (whatever is available) and materials for tents, so displaced families have at least somewhat of a place to sleep in.

In Egypt we support Gazan families that were able to evacuate with paying for their basic needs, because they are unable to work in Egypt. We cover costs for an apartment, for food, basic things for the children (clothing, sometimes small things to bring them joy like a toy or a book) and in the case of emergencies we pay for medical bills too.

In Syria we provide food parcels to 5 families in a village close to Latakia, that are suffering extreme poverty as a result of the Syrian war.
