The Lemon Tree Collective is a grassroots initiative that supports families that have been displaced, impoverished or made extremely vulnerable. We are currently focusing on families affected by the ongoing genocide in Gaza, Palestine. The project was founded in 2024 by Helen Fares to evacuate sick children and pregnant women from Gaza and is currently working on three projects in Gaza, Egypt, and Syria, as evacuations have unfortunately been made impossible by the Zionist occupation.

Our main project is located in Gaza, where we are currently providing over 120 families who have been affected by poverty and hunger as a result of extreme Zionist violence with access to food, medicine and tents. In Khan Younis, we run a school program for children.

In Egypt, we provide safe shelter and emergency medical aid to over 30 displaced families from Gaza.

In Syria, over 200 families who have lost their livelihoods as a result of the war are regularly supplied with food packages.

Together with trusted partner organisations in Gaza and our local Lemon Tree Collective team, we ensure that families get monthly vouchers for supermarkets so that they can decide freely about which foods, clothes and hygiene products they get.

We do not import any products into Gaza. Instead, we support the local economy by working together with partner organisations and local supermarkets.
